The Pirate Ship consists of a steel support structure made up of 4 uprights leaning in from the 4 corners of the rectangular base to meet at the top in a hub. This hub bears the hanging boat using 2 linked spokes.
It is one of the most traditional amusement park rides. The gondola, shaped as a large pirate ship, fits 45 passengers and swings them up to nearly 20 meters (64 feet) at a 75 degree angle.
